Family and friends, old and new,
As many of you know, I work for a wonderful nonprofit called SEARAC. We fight for equity for Southeast Asian American communities in partnership with other refugee and immigrant communities and communities of color.
This year has been the most challenging and exhausting year I've experienced to date, both professionally and personally. But I'm proud of the work we were able to accomplish this year, like raising awareness of SEAA needs among members of Congress, uplifting stories unique to the SEAA experience on social and traditional media, and providing resources to help community members navigate such topics as COVID-19, anti-Blackness and racial solidarity, the 2020 Census, data disaggregation in education, and more. If you're looking for an organization to support this giving season, please consider donating to SEARAC to keep us strong in 2021. By giving to SEARAC, you'll:
- Uphold the values that every human being has a right to due process, to culturally competent health care, to quality education, and to economic security, regardless of immigration status.
