Our communities were hit hard this past year. Southeast Asian American and other low-income communities felt the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic, which exacerbated already existing disparities. For many, this 45th year of the SEAA journey was about survival. It was about making sure that our loved ones were as safe as possible as they worked to make sure there was food on the table, that our children were continuing their education despite technological and language barriers, that our elders were given culturally appropriate health care—and that we were there to make it happen in the absence of support at the local, state, or federal levels.

With your generous contribution, SEARAC is committed to bringing your voices, the Southeast Asian American experience that is woven into the tapestry of our beautifully diverse America, to mainstream media, in the offices of policymakers, and in the halls of Congress.

Your support will allow us to boost our speaker honorariums to compensate our grassroots partners for their time, to increase the amount of college scholarships given to low-income high school students, and provide more in-language and assessable resources to keep all our community members informed.

Through your support, we'll fight for our right to keep our families united, our right to be seen through data, and our right to heal through culturally appropriate health and mental health care.

Through your support, we'll connect and activate the next generation of passionate advocates, who will grow, carry, and lead our movement in the years ahead.
