Dear friends and family,
I have the incredible honor of fundraising for the Southeast Asia Resource Action Center (SEARAC), where I have worked full-time since June 2021 -- but I have been a part of their inspiring network since 2015.
Since 1975, SEARAC has been building a road map for a better future. As the national voice of Southeast Asian Americans -- the largest community of refugees to ever be resettled in the United States -- SEARAC leads the way in advocating for their communities’ right to to be seen, to heal, and to family.
As a part of this small but mighty team, I have been a part of several important efforts this year, including:
- Developing and disseminating in-language resources on COVID-19
- Training and empowering young leaders to advocate with their members of Congress
- Uplifting solutions for improving the mental health of Southeast Asian Americans through both policy and service reccomendations.
