I am thrilled to be finishing my third year as full-time staff at SEARAC (and, like, 100th year as super-fan of SEARAC's work). We've accomplished so much together in 2023, and I am proud of the way that our team and the communities we serve have shown steadfast resilience as we emerged from the difficult years of COVID-19 and rising anti-Asian hate.
This year, I became SEARAC's first-ever full-time Director of Development, and I am honored and humbled to be devoting my career to this movement to build Southeast Asian American community power. We released our 2023-24 Equity Agenda after deep interviews with and input from the community, and these pillars will guide our work to uplift Southeast Asian American community needs in health, education, and immigration in the years ahead.
