Support Southeast Asian American Communities

Hello friends,

This year is my sixth year hosting a fundraiser for SEARAC, and it comes during a milestone year: I've recently returned from a 10-week sabbatical; as someone who worked through college, grad school, and immediately after three pregnancies (side note: shame on America's parental leave policies), I was blessed to experience an extended period of rest and recovery with my family. And now I've come back to the work feeling recharged, ready to continue fighting for equity. It would not have been possible without the support of my co-workers, SEARAC's board, and our community.

SEARAC is not only a bold leader in working toward establishing a healthy work/life culture, our organization also accomplished so much together in 2023. I am proud of the way that our team and the communities we serve have shown steadfast resilience as we emerged from the difficult years of COVID-19 and rising anti-Asian hate. This year, we released our 2023-24 Equity Agenda after deep interviews with and input from the community. These pillars will guide our work to uplift Southeast Asian American community needs in health, education, and immigration in the years ahead.

I have an ambitious goal of raising $500 in celebration of my five years as SEARAC's communications director. I'm committed to redirecting wealth and bringing allies into this vital work. Won't you join me with a meaningful gift to SEARAC during this end-of-year fundraising campaign?
