Join Nerou Cheng at his home facing the East River to watch 4th of July fireworks and enjoy Vietnamese appetizers and drinks while supporting the important work of the Southeast Asia Resource Action Center (SEARAC). Join us starting at 6:30pm to watch boats anchoring on the river as the sun goes down. At 9:30, fireworks will launch from four barges from the 23rd to the 37th street level.

Space is limited - RSVP here today.

As a member of the Board of Directors, Nerou encourages guests to make a contribution to SEARAC's work as we celebrate the strength and resilience of Southeast Asian American communities.

Founded in 1979 during the largest resettlement of refugees in U.S. history, SEARAC is the only national civil rights organization devoted to uplifting and fighting for Southeast Asian American refugee communities from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

SEARAC's powerful advocacy and leadership building work is grounded in a vision where:

  • families do not live in fear of being separated from deportation,
  • kids and their parents have the culturally and linguistically relevant support they need to succeed in school,
  • elders have access to culturally competent and life saving health care,
  • and thousands of Southeast Asian American leaders are actively making change in their communities - on school boards, at city council hearings, at community-based organizations, and in public office.
Make this vision a reality with your generous donation.
