9 years ago, I came to SEARAC's Leadership and Advocacy Training (LAT). Today, I am SEARAC's first second-generation Executive Director, and owe it to SEARAC and the LAT for helping me to be the leader that I am today.
I am so proud to be part of an alumni cohort of 1,000 Southeast Asian American leaders to have graduated from the program since 1998. The LAT has played an integral role in my leadership journey and those of fellow Cambodian, Hmong, Lao, Vietnamese, and other refugee leaders nationwide. The LAT brings us together to harness the power of our history, our experiences, and our wisdom to advocate for our own policy solutions.
The LAT is not just a training, it's a movement. We are building a groundswell of community voices equipped to demand change.
